Albert B. Chance, known as "Buff" is a native of Centralia, Missouri. He received his primary education at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri. He completed his formal education at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has been a resident of Columbia, MO since 1973.

Buff's past work experience includes 8 years in the commercial banking field. His current work involves real estate investment and management and he is owner operator of the Fox Run Properties in Columbia, Missouri.

Buff has had past involvement in the Central Missouri Sheltered Enterprises and he has served as Loan Executive to the United Way. Currently he serves as a Board Member to the Centralia HIstorical Society.

Buff's Patriot Ancestor is Reverend John Gano. Chaplain Gano baptized his commander, GEN George Washington.
