COM Chance grew up in the St. Louis area and attended Chamminade College Preparatory School. He was a letterman in baseball and participated in many service oriented activities.

Anthony graduated in 2015 and is currently attending the University of Denver in Colorado, where he studies Computer Engineering.

Compatriot Chance is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

His Patriot Ancestor is Reverend John Gano. Chaplain Gano baptized his commander, GEN George Washington.
