Harold M. Lynch, 92, passed away on June 27, 2019 at University Hospital. Mr. Lynch will be cremated and interned at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville, Missouri. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Harold was born June 2, 1927 in Howard County, Missouri. He was the son of Caleb and Hazel (Thorpe) Lynch and was the youngest of two brothers and a sister.
In world War II, Harold served with the U.S. Navy in the Philippines. He graduated from Hickman High School class of 1947 then attended Southwest Photo-Arts Institute, in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the VFW Post 280 and the Sons of The American Revolution. In 1998, Harold served as the President of the M. Graham Clark Chapter of the SAR.
Harold had a career of 40 years in photography, television, and motion pictures. The last 19 years as a medical cinematographer with the University of Missouri Medical Center before retiring on January 3, 1990.
He is survived by a son Jeffrey (Debra) Lynch; grandchildren: Tyler Lynch, Ivy Lynch, and Caleb (Devin) Lynch, Lindsay Saunders, and Ben (Courtney) Lynch; four great grandchildren: Gloria Lynch, Henry Lynch, Leo Lynch, and Arlo Saunders. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Elwood and Eldon; a sister: Helen; and his daughter Tana.
