J. Y. Miller II

J. Y. Miller is a retired teacher with 45 years of experience. He has taught from 5th grade math thru college calculus as well as instructing officers in the U.S. Army Signal School. J. Y. served in the U.S. Army and holds the rank of Major.
He is an active member of Lions Club International, The American Legion, and The Knights of Columbus. He was involved in Scouting and is a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow.


J. Y. has served on the Glasgow, MO City Council.
In addition to being a Past-President of the M. Graham Clark Chapter of the SAR, Miller is the Chapter Webmaster and has served on several State Committees.
J. Y. ia married to Mary (Henderson) Miller, who is a DAR member. She is also a retired teacher. They have one child, J. Y. III, who is also a MGC Chapter member. Their grandsons are Addison James Miller and Jackson James Miller.

His SAR patriot ancestor is John Malcolm Miller, who served with Washington at Yorktown as a Colonel in the Virginia Militia. COL Miller founded the city of Richmond, KY.
