Thomas Newton Brigdon, 59, of Columbia, MO, died Tuesday March 7, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Community of Christ Church, 23886 Boise St. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Fort Dodge.
Thomas was born December 29, 1946 the son of Jack and Marlys (Reed) Brigdon in Fort Dodge, IA. He later served his country in the United States Army from '67 to '68 and was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of Sergeant.
Thomas was employed as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration for 28 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the VFW, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Union, Sons of the Confederation, and the American Legion.
Those thankful for having shared in Thomas' life include his wife, Lynn, Mother; Marlys Brigdon, three sons; Thomas Brigdon of Bexley, OH, Michael Brigdon of Olathe, KS, Chris Brigdon of Columbus, OH, one sister; Jacqueline of Olathe, KS, six grandchildren; Savannah, Grace, Luke, Jake, George, and Charles, two daughters in law; Cassandra Brigdon, and Stacy Brigdon.
Mr. Brigdon was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Edward and Elizabeth Reed, Newton and Laudess Brigdon, Father, Jack, one sister, Carmen, and two brothers; David and Edward.
